Part-Time Food Tour Guide

Have fun storytelling, telling jokes, and taking guests to eat at local restaurants as a part-time food tour guide with A Little Local Flavor.

The Job

  • Guide 3-hour food tours through downtown Nashville, taking groups of up to 15 guests to 6 local restaurants for tastings
  • Talk about Nashville's dining scene, our restaurant partners, and the tastings (script provided with paid training)
  • Tell fun stories about Nashville's history, architecture, and street art
  • Talk about city landmarks like Broadway, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Schermerhorn Symphony Hall, and Printer's Alley
  • Get to know your guests, make friends, and make sure everyone is having a great time

Hours

  • 3.5 hour shifts, typically 11am to 2:30pm, available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (you choose your schedule)
  • We need someone available to guide at least two tours per week
  • We schedule guides one month out, so you let us know when you're available to work

Pay

  • $55 per tour plus cash tips as a contracted guide. This averages out to $50–$70 per hour after tips.
  • Training is paid at $45 per tour (typically 6–8 tours with an experienced guide). Script is provided, but guides are not required to memorize it word-for-word.
  • Performance bonuses for five-star reviews.
